I have a 200GB Seagate 8MB Cache which I bought retail, it runs for $160 at NewEgg OEM, should I trade this for a 36GB Raptor(OEM with ~4 year warrenty remaining) + either of the two..

1. DVD/CDRW combo drive
2. 60GB WD (no warrenty)

I do need storage but I do need a cdrw drive.. but storage is more important, if I loose my 200GB my system will be running on strictly 36GB plus the 60GB if I choose that..

it just depends on how much of that space you actually need. To me, it's not worth it. Getting rid of a 200GB drive doesn't justify getting a 36GB drive, no matter how fast it is. Especially an expensive 36GB drive.

Really it just depends on what you want.
You could just keep what you have and buy a CD-RW for $30 or so.
You could also take the Raptor +other and buy a secondary storage drive or CD-RW.
I would tend to favor the combo drive (assuming it's decent) over an out of warranty 2MB cache 60GB drive though.
