would a x1900gt sapphire and x1950pro sapphire ultimate work in crossfire?

thread can be locked and deleted now. my question was answered :)

It should work. With the new Cat drivers software crossfire is availabe with x1900 and x1950 cards. You no longer need Crossfire edition and crossfire ready cards. I myself am running 2 Sapphire x1950xt 256mg cards in software crossfire.

so does that mean i can't use the internal bridge to connect the x1900gt and x1950pro?

* Software CrossFire for X1900 and X1950 cards from 6.11. You don’t need a master card, also X1900 and X1950 cards can be mixed together.* X1300, 1600, X1800 GTO and X1800 XL doesn’t require a master card and an external connection cable from Catalyst 6.5.
* X1950 Pro and X1650 XT has a similar CrossFire solution as SLI!

i guess that means i can run it in software. but what about using the internal connector bridge?

EDIT: no connectors on the x1900gt. oh well. this thread is answered :)

Sorry but it's beginning to get hard to keep all this straight. I currently have a sapphire x1800xt video card. I would like to have 1080p output (getting the big westinghouse monitor soon) but to my knowledge it will only output 1080i. I know since the new driver package you dont have to buy a master card for crossfire, so does this mean I can buy a newer card that will output 1080p and be able to run it along with what I have now in software crossfire? If so what are some of the cheaper cards I can do this with? Thanks for the help.
