Would this card be able to capture video from my home theater DVD player?

it does have the Red, White, and Yellow inputs (forgot the technical name)

I was going to use Adobe Premier 7 to capture the DVD...would this work ok?

thank you

greg

I have tried numerous different programs....and havent got the results I am looking for.

I am basically trying to get my DVD onto my harddrive in .avi format 720x480.

Then I was going to proceed with Windows Media Encoder 9 series to compress it to a .wmv file, so I can then put it on my pocket pc for viewing.

Would that piece of hardware capture the DVD ok?

yup one step right to DiVX or VCD

http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=DVDx

you will need to get the ASPI driver for your OS and that can be found on that site too just search ASPI driver

http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=Adaptec_ASPI_Drivers

have fun and only use this to backup DVDs you own k ^^

I am having a hard time installing the ASPI drivers...I have them downloaded, but how do I go about installing them....I tried the Install.bat file, but nothing happens.

ideas?

Thank You for all the help so far.

read the .txt you have to give it the right comand line flags
