Would this be an upgrade?

Your Samsung has a PVA panel while that Princeton has a TN. Basically, that means you get lower contrast, less accurate colors and very narrow viewing angles with the Princeton. However it will be better for games since it's faster. If you don't game much, this would be a "downgrade" in picture quality rather than upgrade.
