Would there be any performance improvment?

For me, given my hardware, especially my display, running a GTX-570 instead of the HD 6950 en-route to me?

My monitor is a 52" Sammy HDTV.

Put another way, given the maximum resolution(1080p) and refresh rate the Samsung is capable of would ANY game play with higher settings and faster frame rates with one card over the other?

Also is anyone familiar with the advantages/disadvatages running "Automotion Plus" versus "Game Mode" on this set?

Alaska you have asked this in a few different threads. Can you not just accept the answers you were given in those threads?

The 6950 is a fine card and probably the best bang for buck card of the current crop of cards. And if you feel the need later on for more power you can just add another one for a very cheap performance upgrade.

Game mode is generally the best option if you are playing games on a TV as it reduces lag.

Can I run three 24" Samsungs @ 5760X1200 in Eyefinity for gaming IN ADDITION to using my HDTV for my main monitor?

Yes you can, but I am not sure how this would look. Bezel size is already an issue, and I am sure the bezel of your HDTV is huge!!

Using these cards can I have three monitors using Eyefinity for gaming and STILL use my HDTV for my primary desktop.

Or is some kind of a switch needed?

Well the new cards can support up to 6 monitors so I guess it's possible. You can group 3 monitors together for games and have the desktop on the HDTV.

For four monitors I think you will need a display adaptor though.

What did you expect? people have different opinions on everything.

Anyway, there should be no confusion for you, you bought the 6950, it's a very good card and any review I have seen recommends it. So you should stop second guessing your purchase because you will only drive yourself nuts.

They are both really good cards, but the 6950 will do what you want for cheaper. You see if you want to connect 3 monitors and a TV to your computer you only need one 6950 card (eyefinity) but you would need two 570's.

your not going to get one. there are always going to be fanbois on one side or another (to be nicer people that believe they have been "burned" by one company or another). I have had issues with both company's drivers and could easily slam Nvidia drivers as well as AMD. the truth is that its more a of a choice of evils then one being better then the others. actually scratch that, the real truth is that 9 out of 10 will never have an issue at all with either. and those that have issues are often not actually driver issues per say but conflicts of one kind or another. trying to make a product 100% compatible with all the thousands of types of hardware probably isn't realistic.

The 6950 is a great card for your resolution and has been explained numerous times you're not going to see much difference between the two cards at your resolution. Maybe 5% which is the difference of only a few fps with max settings.

Its a grass is greener thing. With nivdia i've had just as many problems with drivers as i've had with ati cards.

What I like about AMD is that they put out monthly drivers and sometimes multiple hot fixes. So sometimes i only have ot wait a month for a fix. With nvidia sometimes it be months before nvidia released a non beta driver
