i was just wondering if i could set up a ThermoChill HE120.3 or even just a standard heatecore at the bottom of my case laying ontop of a heatsink (runs the same length as the radiator) with the fans on top. Do you think that would help performance? i mean you have the fans, a good radiator, and the heatsink it sits on acts to dissapatei heat that is being pushed down by the air.

*btw dont flame if you think this is a dumb idea. I am a noob at this and just wondered if this was possible

If the rad is sitting on a heatsink then the air will be highly restricted, and it wont really make any difference in your temps since the air that is being pushed out of the rad is warm and that is the only heat that is being transfered to the heatsink. The only actuall heat that will be transfered from rad to heatsink is where they come in contact, and that is a minimal amount. The higher restriction will kill your temps.

So....the more airflow through the rad the better (i.e. no heatsinks)

What he said ^^^^

Youd be much better off cutting a hole in the bottom of the case and lay the rad down with the fans on top drawing outside air through the rad, you may need to raise the case a bit for airflow.
