Here are my system specs:

Lanparty Expert mobo
AMD X2 3800+ (oc’d to 2.6ghz so far)
2 gigs of Crucial Ballistix ram
2 – EVGA 7800GTX KO in SLI
Western Digital 74 gig Raptor HDD

Would I see any performance gain for gaming by adding another Raptor HDD and setting them up in Raid 0 or any other type of Raid?

For a gamer? probably not, certainly not enough to justify the cost of a second Raptor.

But on the other hand, it dosnt look liek money is a peoblem, and wile minimal I know RAID makes my box run better.

Also it would sound cool... 2 cores, 2 GPUs, 2 HDDs, 2 gigs

Edit: I see you have a 74gb raptor, I thought you had a 36gb, that 74 gb Raptor is as fast as and faster than about all 2 disk RAID 0 arrays... Its going to be very hard for you to see and improvements in runnign a secound one in RAID0. I woould still do it for the sake of space.

I have decided to go ahead with the Raptors in Raid 0.

I know I may not see a big performance jump but...............

I have always been curious about Raid so now is the time I guess.

I think my PSU is taking a dump so I will have to wait for the whole RMA process to get up and running again.

Thanks for the input.
