I would like to know if there would be any performance increase for oc'ing or stock setting for me to sell my 3.2 Northwood and get a 3.4 Presscott? LMK, thanks.
 
Prescotts have a longer pipeline than NW, making them slightly slower clock for clock, and generally run hotter. I see no reason for you to swap.
 
the prescotts have longer pipelines? what did the prescott improve on then because i heard that it was a technological breakthrough
 
I think it was the 90 nanometer process... or .09 micrometer...

that seems to be the only thing i hear about them
