And how the hell are we supposed to answer that without knowing anything about your system?
What is your current bus speed? What are you planning on pushing it to? Memory runs at the speed you set it at, not the speed that's printed on the sticker on the chip.
I'd answer your question, but I left my ESP headset at work.
Sorry. I honestly did not know that that info was needed.
I have a Soyo KT400 Platinum with an XP3000+ running at stock speeds. Was wanting to push the memory a little faster, hence me wanted to maybe replace my crucial stick with a PC3200
I'm assuming that proc runs on a 333 Mhz bus already. Since AMD's like a 1:1 ratio, getting PC3200 will give you more overclocking headroom. If your not going to overclock, than no, save your money.
Guys, you're forgetting that he's on KT400. It doesn't have a 6/1 divider; he's stuck at 333MHz FSB if he wants in-spec AGP and PCI bus clocks.
Unless you're going to upgrade to a motherboard capable of handling a 400MHz FSB or has bus-locking (i.e. nForce2, since you're on an Athlon system), don't bother getting PC3200it won't help you any.
