Would appreciate your thoughts

So my P4 2.4c and ABIT IC7 finally bit the dust this week. I can keep most of my components but need a processor, vid card and motherboard replacement.

I like to play a few games here and there but by no means need to play Quake4 on Ultra mode. After reading the forums and price comparison I am considering:

Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe - Do I need this much board? Can i get away with a ASUS A8N-SLI? Are the differences that much? The price difference is $100+

GeForce 6800 GS - Seems like a great bang for the buck. I have always been an ATI guy but this card seems solid.

Athlon 64 32xx - The price on say a 3200 or 3500 seems nominal. Would i be better off saving some $$ on the motherboard and upgrading the processor or CPU?

Looking for your expert opinions.

I once read that games like processors with the 1 meg L2 cache like in my A64 3400. You shouldn't have too much trouble with the parts that you listed. I just recamend getting everything new in the new computer, including PSU and Case + cooling. I learned the hardway that sometimes its best to not get lazy when it comes to building a new computer.

And no you don't need that much board, you can find plenty of decent MOBOS under 90$, mine was like 60 from Microcenter. I would try and get a 6800GT or better for video card, and at least an Athalon 3400++ for cpu. Dont forget about a good power supply with at least 17amps on 12v rail.
