Thanks

never heard of them. Any reason you want one of those over something more well known?

Because I live in New Zealand and we dont have the same brand psu's as you guys and the ones that we do have that are same as usa are 150-200 dollars.

Do you think the single fan psu would be enough to handle my setup though?
Ive seen lower watted power supplies handle much more demanding setups so this should be ok.

I never heard about those PSUs either, but regarding wattage - if it's relatively ok, quality PSU, 350-400W is more than enough for your system. I don't know which brands yo can get, and what's your budget, but I'd recommend some of these PSUs (if you can get hold of them): Seasonic S12 380W / Seasonic S12 430W / Fortron 400W / Enermax Liberty 400W. Seasonics would be the best choice obviously, but their price is higher than Fortron or Enermax.

I took a look at the website you posted, and that Task PSU doesn't look too good, I'd pass on that. It would be able to power that rig, you don't have to worry about that, but build quality is questionable. I wouldn't assign the task of providing power to my components to such product.

Around $1000-$1100(the cheaper the better) including a lcd(found a lcd for $300).
Im not sure if I want the 600 gs or 7600gt(gt is $217 and the gs is $157)

Sorry, should have clarified - how much is your budget for the PSU? I'm looking at .nz stores - I'm beginning to see what you mean about expensive.

Do you know of any good nz sites to buy components from btw?
or u.s.a sites that ship to New Zealand?

EDIT:saw the enermax liberty 400w on a site it was $190 how much does it cost in the usa?

watts mean ~nothing~

Nada

Zilch.

Edit: alright, not nada, but it's not what you should look at.

It's amps on the 12v rail, and ripple, and noise, that matter (among a few other things).

Single fan isn't that big a deal either.

Good brands to look for: Enermax, Zippy, PC Power and Cooling, Seasonic, Silverstone, and maybe X-Clio or Fortron/Sparkle if you can find them. With the possible exception of Enermax Liberties (they had a bad batch and they might still be filtering through to you) anything they make should suit you fine.
