Hi,

So right now I have a P4 3.0 GHZ with hyper threading. I was wondering if it would be a good choice to get a new Core 2 Duo 6300 I think it is (the cheapset one on newegg). And then overclock it to 2.4 GHZ or the higest I can get it while still being stable. Or would it be better to upgrade my ATI Radeon x850tx PE? And what motherboard is the best overclocker at a reasonable price? Say 75-135?
 
If its games you play get the better Graphics card....the P4 will carry you for a little longer. But get the C2D with the extra Onboard cache if you can (E6600) I think.

You could always get an AMD Dual Core they are really dropping in price!
