Worth upgrading from a 6870?

I'm currently running a Z68AP-D3 MB with a XFX 6870 GPU and I have contemplated upgrading. Is it worth it and what would you suggest?
 
i second the 7950. i have a 7970, and after seeing the numbers i wish i had bought a 7950.
 
7950's tend to self detonate it seems. glad i bought a 7970
