i saw the X800 Pro in the stores yesterday, and i might get it. Is it worth waiting for the X800XT PE or no? Like is it worth the extra 100 bucks for the x800XT and is it that much of a speed boost over the X800Pro?

IMHO the best value for money is a 6800GT and you should look into one of those rather than a X800pro for the same money. If money isnt tight, then a X800XT is a nice card too. You cant go wrong with either one for gaming though :)
 
get the XT or ultra. Performance in those two cards will keep you happy for a long time. Although the Pro isn't a bad card, if you're willing to spend the extra $100...do it
