I am running a 4690k CPU with a gtx 760 2gb videocard.
Would a GTX 970 be a worthy upgrade for the money. My other option is to wait for the gtx 960 and see if that will do. I mainly play alot of arma 3 and currently get around 45-70 fps in multiplayer depending upon the map and mission.

Other games I am looking forward to? MGS5, and possibly GTAV and The division if the games run well on pc. I dont see alot of benchmarks comparing the 760 to the 970 since they are on different tiers and not really sure how much of an increase I could get from it.
 
My personal criteria to really notice a difference is the new card needs to be ~2x as fast. The 970 is ~ 2x as fast as a 760. You should notice it. The 970 OC'd is pretty much the same speed as a 780ti if that helps, which was likely a $730 card when you bought your 760 :)

There's FC4, AC Unity and The Crew being bundled with it right now. I chose FC4... hopefully the launch isn't mauled like AC Unity.

I've been on pace to have upgraded nearly every generation for the past 4 years now. I can usually justify an upgrade with about 25-30% increase in performance.
 
An increase of more than 50% in performance translates into a hit in my wallet.

A GTX 970 would indeed be a great upgrade for you.
 
I went from a 760 to 970, great upgrade.

I do wonder what nvidia will do for a 960, I reckon 980 sales nosedived with the 970 been a much better price, so I think they will make the gap down to 960 more significant from the 970.

I go along with double power rule, and in this case 970 also doubles vram which is now very important. I dont think the 960 will be double power of a 760.
