no need, i saw a few pics of the silverstone gd07, not the best choice in my opinion but it looks clean with the door closed, has a lot of space too. hell yeah is overkill, unless youre gaming on it (which i think you are :p)

If for gaming - overkill? Not really since most likely you'd be running big resolutions if on one of them latest high res LCD panels tv's. If anything that is overkill is your PSU, your system uses way way way less then 1000 watts even when under load.

Welcome to [H]! :D

"World's most powerful" is a bit of troll bait tbh

You might have used an expensive CPU, but for gaming, GPU power > all. Since you use a mATX board, you could better improve framerate for the same price by adding a second GPU and dropping down to a regular i7 :p

First of all - I wouldn't it call it htpc with those dimensions - its just a normal sized PC case put on a side.

If I were to spend all that money to make "the most powerfull gaming htpc" in such a huge case i would go for dual octa-core xeon E5's just to show off my dong is longer and if I had unlimited amount of cash for the project I would go for 18-core E5's(again for the dong powah)

For the gpu parts as WiSK said - with this much space you could go for double dual-gpu cards ending up with quad SLI or quad CrossFireX.
