So, I usually am pretty bad at RTS games, and I generally don't really enjoy them.
I played Civ a few times, and enjoyed it since it felt fairly relaxing and more like a building thing (a la SimCity).
I played Battle for middle earth and thought it was ok. I tried a few other games here and there (like C&C generals) and didn't really like the micro management (if that's what it's called) part of it.
I guess I enjoy the whole "sending units to battle" part, but the whole build up, planning, etc part of it kinda turns me off (I know I know :().

And then, someone was telling me about WIC. Apparently, there isn't much to do in the game but to send "troops" to war. It's supposed to be a lot of fun, and doesn't really require the skills that regular RTS games require.

Do you think it could be a game for me?

Sounds like it would be right up your alley.
There is no resource gathering. You get unit points, when a unit dies it's value is trickles back into your purchase pool to call in replacements. And being in combat auto-accumulates command points that you use for fire support (air strikes, artillery, et al).
It tends to be fairly fast paced - infantry plays a bit slow but armor and air is often pretty frantic (not as fast as say Starcraft or or C&C 3 but it will keep you hopping)

It's far more about coordinating with your team (since in most games you place one specific role : Infantry, Armor, Air or Support (artillery and repair)) than anything else. And it allows you to join or drop from a match pretty easily so there's not a long term commitment that you have with other RTS when playing online.

Yes, you probably will enjoy it. Something was missing in it for me, the whole micromanagment scheme. I logged in not too long ago, there are still a ton of online servers with people there, you should have some fun in MP.

Good summary. It's pretty easy to pick up because you never have that many units to keep track of....maybe 5-6 tops, depending on what units you get. As Infantry you can get more squads than that but even still there isn't necessarily alot of micro involved. Good Tactical Aid placement can potentially be a game-breaker but overall it's very easy to grasp.

It's good if you don't feel like dumping alot of time into each match. Like FreiDOg said, it's easy to hop in and out of games because it's not like you need to build a base, gather resources, etc. like typical RTS game.

WIC is one of the best and most fun RTSs to come in a long time. And Massive is one of the few great dev houses in the market today.

Definitely get this game if you even remotely like RTS.
