Ive been getting into Solidworks alot lately, and well it runs pretty well on the system in my sig, I just found out because I dont have a workstation graphics card (although I have an x800) opengl is limited to software mode. So im losing a large chunk of my performance.

now my question is, I remember there being a case where it was possible to reflash a consumer desktop card to its workstation equivilant. so....

1)is there a workstation equivilant of my x800xt 256mb AGP?

2)is it possible to flash my card with that cards bios? (i mean does anyone have experiance, not theorys, unless theyre really good :p )

3)what potential limitations will i see if I can do this? slower game performance?

4)will i still be able to use the common radeon drivers off atis web site?

or if anyone just has a damn workaround for this program thatd be much better

thanks in advance
