Ok guys, I was bored today. So I decided to attempt my first mod ever, besides cold cathodes and LED Fans. I had an old Compaq 7000 series case lying around, so I said what the hell. This is what I have done so far for $9.57. I still have to put molding around the edges of the window, install the plexi, and put scupley around the front duct then add mesh behind it. The duct is really a funnel that I cut in half with a hand saw ;).

Heres the original compaq case (not mine):

Heres what I did:

Well, I hope it wasn't bad for my first try. I'm going to put blue EL wire behind that see through blue plastic in front, 2 blue cold cathodes, and 2 blue LED fans. Also keep in mind, that I don't own a dremel, and I used a hand saw, saber saw, and sand paper to get all my edges/corners. Cutting was hard. Plus I suck at painting. But oh well, more will be up soon.

Keep up the good work. It looks alot better then the original case. You should go out and get a dremel though its only about $20-30.

Very nice!
I should do that with mine.. blew up the motherboard so I should try that.

My motherboard blew too! LMAO! It just froze in the middle of a game, I think it was...hmmm....SOF2... and when I restarted it said system board error, and never started again :-(

Looks good, But Try to get the cut on the funnel to be even, it looks really ghetto right now, but if you can sand it flat or something, it would look alot nicer
