So I've been out of the rig-building scene for a long while, any help with this would be great.

At my office, we have two employees who need beefy laptops. These laptops will be running a specific program designed for our company's new 3D printing OPM machine. I was handed a list of recommended specs, but they're for a desktop. Any recommendations on what laptop specs I should be looking for, that are somewhat equivalent to these desktop specs?

  • Xeon E5 3.5Hz processor
  • 32GB DDR4 2133MHz RAM
  • NVidia Quadro K2200 graphics card

I'd personally go with the Lenovo, but our company has an account with Dell that makes things go much more smoothly.

Thanks for the help guys (y)

Another vote for P50. I have a review unit for our company. Absolutely sick with 32gb of memory and the 4k display.

But since you are a Dell shop.... then find the equivalent over there. Usually HP, Lenovo, and Dell have similar or identical devices in their product line.
