Any ideas what is going on here, EM3 says work is in the queue. It finished a WU and just sat there, "ask for net connection" is no. Set as a service.

WU started on-

[14:45:55] Project: 1321 (Run 0, Clone 82, Gen 3)
[14:45:55] Assembly optimizations on if available.
[14:45:55] Entering M.D.
[14:46:02] Protein: p1321_1fnt_a16_9.1ps-1_uf

Finished-

03:36:42] Finished Work Unit:
[03:36:42] - Reading up to 2162616 from "work/wudata_01.arc": Read 2162616
[03:36:42] - Reading up to 93300 from "work/wudata_01.xtc": Read 93300
[03:36:42] goefile size: 0
[03:36:42] logfile size: 236943
[03:36:42] Leaving Run
[03:36:44] - Writing 2654999 bytes of core data to disk...
[03:36:44] ... Done.
[03:36:44] - Shutting down core

Folding@Home Client Shutdown.

And then just sat there, EM3 said something was in the queue, I tried a send all and go this-

Launch directory: C:\Folding2
Executable: C:\Folding2\FAH502-Console.exe
Arguments: -local -send all

[14:14:34] - Ask before connecting: No
[14:14:34] - Use IE connection settings: Yes
[14:14:34] - User name: marty9876 (Team 33)
[14:14:34] - User ID: 5D5559227D00B594
[14:14:34] - Machine ID: 2
[14:14:34]
[14:14:34] Loaded queue successfully.
[14:14:34] Attempting to return result(s) to server...

Folding@Home Client Shutdown

Then started if again with -local, and the dang thing is now doing the same WU-

[14:15:27] - Starting from initial work packet]
[14:15:27] Project: 1321 (Run 0, Clone 82, Gen 3)
[14:15:27] Entering M.D.
[14:15:34] Protein: p1321_1fnt_a16_9.1ps-1_uf

It looks like you experienced the hung core issue. This doesn't happen often but typically happens to people running 2 clients on the same machine. Usually the GUI and console client together.

Here's the relevant thread:

Here's the post in that thread that will be of interest to you:

People have successfully used Dick Howells (rph_iv) qfix program to send in the finished WU. Make backups and give it a try.

Thanks Carl., looks like the right info to start with.

HELP!!!!!!!!

Ok, different box, got a 600 pointer stuck. Qfix don't seem to help. I give up, I'll do things the right way and only run one instance from now on.

Anybody want this mess and see if they can at least dump the stupid WU to the server? Change the name to yours or what not.

You didn't post enough of the log for the second computer for me to tell if you were having the same issue as the first computer so I'm not sure what's happening there.

When you used qfix on the first computer with the finished Project: 1321 (Run 0, Clone 82, Gen 3) WU that has a wuresults_xx.dat file and you were reprocessing the same Project: 1321 (Run 0, Clone 82, Gen 3) WU, did you follow the instructions in the post I gave you the link to and use the -delete x flag to get rid of the second instance of the WU first? If you didn't, that's why qfix couldn't correct the queue.dat file to see the wuresults_xx.dat file in the work folder.

Check your PM

I was able to reset the queue.dat file with qfix and send in the P1141 R9 C23 G1 WU you sent me. It's not the same WU you started this thread about though. I looked up the Project: 1321 (Run 0, Clone 82, Gen 3) WU you originally asked about and it still hasn't appeared in the WU database. If you still have the wuresults_xx.dat file I can probably send that one in also and save someone, maybe you, the trouble of doing it over.

Here's the info from the database for the one I turned in:
Hi marty9876 (team 33),
