On the user detail pages, say here:
http://www.hardfolding.com/index.php?go=38&tm=33&id=154479
there is some awkward wording. It says 'Point - Update/Daily/Weekly/Monthly', which implies some sort of 'average' of point, e.g. your weekly point average is 4258. The values shown are cummulative values for:
This Update
Today
This Week
This Month

I think the information on the site would be easier to decipher, if this was changed.

Also, why are my PPM and PPW the same value?

I don't know about your ppm ppw being the same.

As far as wording I have never had a problem

I don't know why it implies averages for me it means that this is the amount of points you have done today/this week/this month

For averages I look down below where is says average

It's not that hard to understand.

Under the section marked Points

1) Update: The amount of points you got for this update
2) Daily: The amount of points you have generated today
3) Weekly: The amount of points you have generated this week
4) Monthly: The amount of points you have generated this month

Under the section marked averages

1) PPU: Points per Update average
2) PPD: Points per Day average
3) PPW: Points per Week average
4) PPM: Points per Month average

The reason your Points per Week and Points per Month are the same is because you haven't been folding long enough to collect the data needed to calculate the averages for those yet, if you notice the totals are the exact same for both areas, thus you will get the same average.

Its easy to figure out but one has a tendancy to think average because it seems to say x number is your daily points. So you think this is how many points I produce daily. Here is the definition of daily: 1 a : occurring, made, or acted upon every day b : issued every day or every weekday c : of or providing for every day. Implying that such and such number happens every day when in fact its only your points for this day. So, if I cared enough to change it I would change it to say Day/Week/Month rather than daily/weekly but since its easy to figure out I would probably never get around to it. Its a subtle difference but its english where there are lots of subtle differences. This reminds me of our the recent thread to change "Post your benchmarks" to "Post your Milestones". Its good to be precise.
