Haha yeah I saw that. I want a razer mouse as usual but for some reason I always come at the wrong times.

Discrete was interesting, but a lot harder than calc I II or III.

I gave up on woot a while ago, their prices always seem higher than other online shops, and their customer service has been on a downward slope. I still like some of their t-shirts though.

This woot-off is a fail. The server keeps giving errors. Don't expect to get a BOC if it comes us as this one will actually contain their servers instead of actual crap. And remember folks:

When written as a sum of minterms (In the variables X and Y), X + not xy (That says X OR Not X AND Y)

Ok so yeah I have a take home test tomorrow and I have no clue how to do this. Teacher never even mentioned the word minterm and the book has barley anything on it. I have about 3 questions like this on the test can anyone explain how to do it?


Im sure its probably an easy question but the book they are using at my school is horrible and I cant figure out how to.
 
That sounds more like a digital logic question.. lol.

Basically you'll want to make a diagram first.

You'll want two inputs.. X and Y.

The X and Y go into a NAND gate. The X input also branches off and goes into the OR gate along with the output from the NAND gate.

Then you make your table according to input and ouput for X & Y.. then based off the output from "X + (not XY)" you create a K-map, then you write your final function in terms of X and Y variables.
 
Well, you don't need the diagram at all. I don't know what's required for the question and what your professor wants. The diagram just helps identify what the logic circuit looks like. But yes, you can just do the truth table portion.
 
bah, this woot-off sucks. Who cares. We're waiting for the next item which is probably going to be a crappy Sansa MP3 player that is re-turdished. :p

Naw, its been like that every time somethings sold out. The pages take forever to load, guess I'm not the only one wearing my f5 key thin. What Woot should sell one of these woot-offs is a USB f5 button so you don't kill the one on your keyboard:p
