i started an HTP build
well I really wanted the other Asus board with the one PCI 16 slot but the egg had discontinued it. so I went with the A8N deluxe great board rock solid etc.
but using the case i did. it seemed I had to use the second pcie slot...ooops bad choice. seems that becomes an PCIEx1 slot when used alone . after benchmarking with 3DMark 05 this x18000GTo only gave me 4300 hummmmmmm problem will robinson. moved the card to the blue slot and goodness ensued. now at 6700
here is ithe issue. in the blue slot the damm x1800 is a bit close to the hard drive cage say 1mm from touching.
very close fit will have to drill out the HDD cage to get the drive back in there.the strangest part is the vid card and HDD cage are aligned to the exact spot. glad i figged out the slowness problem tho before I closed it up .
