I have a system with a Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H mobo, AMD Athlon II X 620, 4 GB Corsair DDR3 ram. The mobo and ram replaced a previous Gigabyte board that flaked out, was RMA'd, but still had some issues. I was fed up so bought a new Gigabyte board.
The new mobo and new ram (old board had DDR2) worked fine for a few months. The system runs 24x7 and runs WIndows 7 + Boxee. One day, the system was locked up. When I reboot, the board starts to POST and hangs right after it shows the CPU ID.
I replaced the ram with new Corsair RAM. I also tried a new PSU (700W). Same results.
I also tried all of this with the mobo sitting on a cardboard box.
At this point, I have: mobo, CPU, video card that could be the culprit.
Any suggestions?
