wondering about agp setting

i got this reading from Everest



wondering about the message agp is disable how can this be i play bf2,Css,etc...

and as far as the other message i dont see anywhere in bios to up the agp speed more than 4x,i did bios update not 3months ago,maybe another is released?


my 3dmark 05 score was 2500 something
 
Check your BIOS settings and make sure it's in 8x mode with Fast Writes and Side Band Addessing turned on. Then check it again and let us know what Everest says.
 
setting in bios has setup like this 2x
4x
4x8x it was on this one and i left it on this.

and the sideband and fast write only have auto or disabled i made sure its on auto and f10 saved, and ran everest yet it still says supported but disabled, im stumped just trying to get the best perfomance, maybe i have to use riva tuner???
 
Damn, that is a weird problem. Yeah, give RivaTuner a whirl and see if that helps. If not, then maybe it's a limitation of your motherboard not detecting the optimal AGP settings. :(

^ what he said should cure it - though you may have to reinstall the video drivers again after mobo drivers.
 
3 things i have done and looked in everest and it reports 8x current agp speed and sideband and fast write are enabled now

thing is i didnt check everest till after i had done all 3 things not sure what did fix it,or maybe after a reset it will go back,i hope not

i updated motherboard drivers

i installed rivatuner but uninstalled cause it said i should get newer version cause it didnt recongnize my video drivers, so i havent reinstalled yet, still looking for newest version, any links guys, thanx, i got first 1 from guru3d.

and the other thing i did was try to update bios either my floppy drive sux or floppy disk i used does, anyways when i tried to flash it said either fdd or hdd error so anyways for now i will either get a new floppy or can i burn the .bin file to a cd rom and flash it???
 
You should still be able to run RivaTuner. That message is usually displayed because you video drivers are newer than what the program was tested with. It should work fine.
 
And if you need to flash try winflash, just be sure to not be overclocked, and exit out of any running taskbar apps (Like A/V) before the flash. Concerning the floppy you may need to reformat the floppy.

Edit: Or are you ralking about a video card flash?
