Wolfenstein 2009 is under-rated.

I bought this game at D2D for $20 last week, and just my opinion here, but this game's single player is vastly under-rated.

Maybe I just like the idea of going into The Veil, but the science fiction aspect of this game works well I think. Visually, the game is stunning in places - not so much because of the engine itself, but more because of the art-style, and because of how much is happening on the screen all at once.

If this game has fallen under your radar then you might want to watch out for a Steam sale - there should be one sometime soon. Seriously, this is a damned good game.

When you're doing a sequel in a famous franchise like Wolfenstein,the bar gets set higher.RTCW more than met expectations,but Wolfenstein 2009 fell far short of that. It felt like a game designed for consoles,with little real effort given to the PC version.

agree 100%. RTCW is probably my most played game to date, but Wolfenstein 2009 was a massive disappointment.

Singleplayer is excellent. It starts off slow but gets way better. Some of the levels in it were amazing and very well done such as the that underground x-labs, hospital, and a few others. The weapons are good too. The only thing I was disappointed about was there was no Sten. Multiplayer isnt anything special though; if they kept the formula from RTCW, that would have been awesome.

Gamers always do that. They put games up on pedestals and leave them there so that nothing can touch them. The years go by and their games becomes terribly antiquated, but they just won't let go.

Wolfenstein 2009 makes Return To Castle Wolfenstein look like the dog's dinner. What's so great about the latter - graphically it looks like shit, and the gameplay pretty much looks like shit too. That's just a generic FPS. There's nothing special at all there.

UMMM? Of course it looks like shit it was made like 10 years ago. gameplay was good in it though for the time.
