Has anyone noticed random slowdowns on Wolf: ET with Cat 3.10s? I've got a brand new Sapphire 9800 pro 256mb DDR2 with the Cat 3.10s and every now and then the game crawls to a halt, video and sound stutter for 5 or 10 seconds then come back.

The video gets down to about 1 or 2 fps, sound just pops. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it the game or some other driver maybe?

thanks

Is anything running in the backgroud ?

Did you try a older CAT ?

I had massive problems with the nVidia 5*.** drivers - the whole system froze within seconds after entering a game ... solved with instaling 4*.** drivers ...

reinstall the game, for some reason every time i play that game i get more and more warnings in the good ole q3 splash screen. They scroll by so fast you cant read them but i knew the list was getting longer. I uninstalled and then reinstalled and everything was peachy again. I too was getting slow downs and game crashes.

Well, it doesn't seem to have any problems with CoD or UT2k3 at 1280x1024 (LCD screen) with every turned up on high.

I'll have to go try ET again, maybe it was just a fluke, other things were acting up too, UT2k3 would play sound and winamp was acting nuts before I rebooted. Just bad mojo I guess.

If there's a problem with 3.10s and ET i'll let you know, but I haven't read anything about one.
