WMP 11 crashes...Help needed.

Every time I start WMP 11 i crashes about a second after it loads. I tried a repair install but it wouldn't allow me to do it, it pops up with a error that says that its not the newest WMP 11. Yet I just downloaded it. Any help is appreciated.

You've probably got a codec or plugin that is causing it. Uninstall anything like that and see if the crashes stop. Otherwise, try a "sfc /scannow" from an elevated command prompt to check the integrity of your system files.

I had a similar problem with WMP11 on an a Vista64 machine. Even tho I didn't have any DRM media (I refuse to buy that crap) it would still start and then crash. I deleted the folder and the problem went away. It never said anything about DRM, just would quit working. By the way, the Indiv01.key is a file in the DRM\Cache folder.
