well a long time ago i ripped some cds that i did BUY so no flames please. well i finnaly got a mp3 player and i want one in my car as well now. i noticed some of my older cds i never unchecked the licence protection(i used wmp to rip them when i first got xp...). i have the licences but players just wont even play them. its my music and i am not sharing but i would like to put it in my car or portable player. i guess my question is can i remove the drm on the wma files?

just point me toward some software that could help me out.

i did the google thing but all the software i found there just errors out.

thanks.

I don't know if that's something we can help with. I think you're on the right track for what to look for though. Your only other option, assuming the cd's are still in your posession would be to just re rip them in the format of your choice. There are a lot of other cd ripping programs that work well and can be just as fast as stripping DRM from files.

CDex is probably my fav for ripping new cds

yah i dug them out of the garage last night but most of them were damaged. oh well you know what that means...

thanks for your reply.
