WLAN Problem w/ Ceiling Fans

I noticed that when I enable my AP to broadcast through my home, my ceiling fan lights randomly turn on in my living room and bedroom. When I turn off the wireless, I have no problems with random lights turning on.

My ceiling fans have a wireless remote that controls fan speed and of course the lights.

It drives me crazy because I will wake up on my room at 3 am. with the ceiling light full blast in my face. I don't want to have to disable wireless every night and enable it every morning as I watch my dog (no dog on couch rule) from work via a wireless web cam.

Is there something I can do or is this just a problem I have to deal with?

Hahaha! Your silly! :D That's not the wireless router, that's a ghost. :p

But I agree. Changing the channel should work.

Could change the channels on the Fan's remote / receiver unit.

The receiver can be in one of three places:

1. Inside top mounting cap, the hanging hardware of fan 2. Inside the fan housing with frequency accessible from above the motor 3. Inside the lower cap of the fan where the lights of the fan attach to.

Good luck. btw that's pretty funny s**t

I know you can change the code on the frequency so like in my case, the signal from one remote is not relayed to both fans since they're all in the same range.

What channel do I change to on my AP? Right now I have channel 6 @ 2.437GHz
