With two connected network adapters (one wifi and one ethernet), which one do applications use for internet access?

Sometimes I need to use one connection as opposed to the other for network administration.

Which connection does Windows give to the application for internet access?

by default windows will use whichever connection was established last, so usuallt stuff will go over wifi because it takes longer to establish wifi connection then wired one.

change your priority for the NIC if you need to under the properties (tcp ip / advance), windows i noticed usually uses the most recently connected one.
