Is anyone here playing Witcher with CF 2900/3850/3870 ?

And if yes how much did you gained going from single card to pair of them ?

At 1280x1024 its already completely playable on my card with all maxed at stock clocks. In overclocked form I imagine It could play at a higher resolution, if my monitor didnt suck. If it couldnt though, I imagine lowering my AA or AS would get me there.

My card runs The Witcher just fine at 1280x1024, especially after I updated the driver. I went from 7.whatever to 8.2 and it's great. I'm not sure you'll get too much with Crossfire.

I can run it in 1900x1200 with no AA and some AF (and AAx2 in less stresfull ares) but I want to add second card for AAx2, Afx16 and hopefully 30+ fps everywhere.

only dif between his card and a 3870 is a bit of mem bandwidth. If he ocd the core a bit more he could prolly make it up. if it were me though id just drop the res a bit. See if u can even tell the dif. Even if you can, ask yourself if that tiny difference is worth 200-500 dollars to u.

I already have CF mobo and another 2900 is like 130 euro :) or less if I get a second hand one.
Ehh anyway i just wanted to ask what gains I can get from someone using such setup :)
As it runs good but I wouldn't mind if it runned better :D (well and i already upgraded GPU, CPU, RAM and MOBO for Witcher might as well go one last step :D )
