I fear this is another example of killing monsters before you have the contract.

The cave in the swamp was filled with them previously when the druid guy wanted his mushroom.

Now when I have the contract, the cave is replaced once again with respawning wolves. There are no cockatrices in the swamp outside I have seen.
I have not encountered them in the sewers (temple or trade) either.


btw...just exited and entered the cave immediately, and it all resets including the mushrooms and wolves.

*been waiting for a reply on Anandtech for over a week with no replies
 
That is the only place I ever found them. I had the contract when I went into the cave. Can you revert back to a saved game?
 
That would be going back over too much ground.

This is a design flaw if it is the only way to complete contracts:

To have ESP and get it before encountering said monsters.
