I've one last FINAL EXAM to take this morning...

As luck would have it... :D

Good luck, I have 4 left this semester, one for each class, and then I am out...

No exams here..... oh wait.... I guess that Professional Engineer's test in April is still looming.......

bear in mind... the more you study----the more time your PC has to fold ;)

Keep on Folding!! For the [H]orde!!

Exams all ready? Gosh that's early. Mine aren't until the week of Dec. 11th. 4 finals.

Not to mention the better you study, the more $$$ you (hopefully) will earn for more boxen... :D

(I'm looking at my salary that's gone up 37.5% since I started a year and a half ago...)

Yup..... that 15% raise for passing the PE is looking really nice right now.....

This is my first year out of school, I actually kinda miss the hype about exam time. :(

Not that it makes me wanna go back or anything... haha

Well at RIT, we have three terms in a "normal year" excluding summer. So that's why... :D

Oh and I did terribly. Oh fuck it, I'm done with that class.

QFT
in college = $7.25 /hr
2 1/2 years out of college = $23 /hr

that just makes me too happy to figure out the % :)

lol.
in High School - $6.50
In College - $8.93
6 years out of college - $28-$30 (compressed work week with percentages mixed in)
Never having to work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday - priceless :p

Eh, I'm not going to see any sort of raise when I graduate, kinda what happens when you work full time and go to school full time though.

For what it's worth, oil companies and their contractors are having a heck of a time finding people to hire. Some companies are being forced to outsource their work--not because it's cheaper, but because they can't hire engineers at any price! They've had to boost starting salaries a whole lot for new no-experience grads in the last couple of years. My guess is that a new grad can probably start in the mid-$60k range and up.

So are you done for good or just the term?

BTW we are duking it out pretty good in the contest.

I'm done with the term, my break now is in effect. I know you are duking out well. That's just because I have yet to dump any points today :) Well... Seems as if we're duking it out for a long time... ;) and yeah this is mid-nov... when you were suppose to overtake me... That has yet to happen

I was in the exact situation when I graduated, Schlumberger a huge oil tycoon tried to scoop me up as soon as a graduated, they promised me 60+ a year starting, lead of a team of 4+ people moving expenses and all that jazz, being an oil roughneck wasn't what i was looking for though.
