wirless is pissing me off.

I bought the netgear 802.11b wirless router and I cannot for the life of me get my laptop to pick up the signal properly. It picks it up, then drops it, can't connect to the internet, etc. Does anyone know of a wireless walkthrough I can look at?

There are alot online, but a few questions, how far away are you from the router, what model, how long do you get signal for when you do get it and what kind of building are you in?

Does it pick it up and drop it like 5 mins later?
I had that problem, I had to disable Wireless Zero Config in windows services.

when I get signal it usually lasts 30 seconds to a min. I am 10 feet away from the router.
