Wiring techniques

Anyone got any special techniques on wiring? How do you end up getting that very professional look?

Any special folds? Like folding of flat ide cable? I know not to bend to sharp, but how much is to much?

Power cable management is always a problem, how do you really make them look sharp, besides the use of modular supplies and cutting to length?

What's the best way to work out the factory kinks in the wire when packaged to get the wire to look nice and straight again? I don't want to be in a way stretching the wire when un kinking my folded fan wires or something similar. Blow dryer and a quick, light run down the wires with my fingers seems the best idea, but I want to know how the pro's do it.

Not to interested in looming but I want the cables to look like they were born that way, without modification to the wire itself.

I hide my power cable behind the motherboard and try make all my cables very well positioned. Like, symetric between them.

if you run the cables from behind the mobo, you could solder the mobo power conectors onto the back of the mobo, or but plugs on the back so you dont have to have the cables o the mobo side.

I saw someone post pics of that on a forum once. Looked REALLY good. At first I thought it was in process (you know, when people take pics of their mods with no wires yet). Then I read the description. It may be a lot of work but damn that's a great looking mod.

False walls and floors do wonders if you want to hide wiring.
