I am trying to figure out how many broadcasts per minute happen on my VLAN, I have been monkeying around with Wireshark for a bit and while it certainly captures the traffic I can't for the life of me figure out how to create a stat that shows me the number or broadcasts per minute (or per any other time unit really). Any ideas?

I think you culd filter only broadcast traffic then youll have to look at the first packet and follow down until 1 minute has passed.

i havent touched wireshark in a few months but i thought you could have it parse the capture data out into a spreadsheet....from there its like working any other dataset....maybe i'm remembering wrong (wishful thinking? :p )
