Have this smaller TV in a room 40+" inches, and has terrible speakers.

It's connected to my desktop via HDMI which is in another room.

How do I get some decent sound in the room with the TV?

Was thinking wireless soundbar. But no clue how I would connect that to my Xonar STX. I already have a pair Swans M10 Speakers connected to it.

Why not utilize the HDMI cable you already have and use that for audio? You can look for a soundbar with native HDMI support, or otherwise most TVs have optical or some other audio output. (Typically this second option will only support stereo audio, however, if you have an HDMI source.)
