wireless router - performance question

my friend just bought a PS3 and he wants to buy a wireless router for it to play online. The computer that will station the router will be approximately 50 feet away from the PS3 which sucks, but he has no other choice unless he wants to run a 50+ foot cable through his house to the PS3. What kinds of routers can you suggest that might compensate for this distance?

what specs do i look for when looking for good distance
 
The best ones in terms of downstream throughput are in order: the Belkin N1 Vision Wireless Router, the Linksys WRT600N, and the D-Link DIR-655. Of course others will work just as well.
