Wireless router does not power on

I doubt it will ever work again. Your probably fried something, did it release a smell or smoke?
 
generally an electronic device won't get harmed if it receives a power source too low.

on the other hand, if it receives too much juice, it can get fried.

Most likely something in the router got fried, as jtg1993 said.
