I will be new to wireless networking and havent bought anything yet until i can clarify i can set everything up ok.

Curretnly i have a cable internet connection, a lynksys 10/100 router w/ 4 ports, and there are 2 PCs connected to that. I want to get a ibook / powerbook and have it connected via a wireless connection.

Should I

A) Get a airport extreme base station, connect it to my lynksys router and do it that way (and will that work)?
OR
B) Get a lynksys 802.11G router and have that take care of everything (will that work for the mac?)

Thanks all I appricate it

A and B both work. Note that AirPort specs specifically mention PC compatibility (if you've ever got a wireless PC) and the same will be true for linksys hardware.

I don't really think it makes a difference either way which route you take. I'd go with whatever is cheaper.
