Ok, so i have a D-link wireless router upstairs, and a computer with a WIC downstairs, and right next to it is my xbox, with xbox live. I REALLY don't want to spend 70 bucks for a wireless connector for the xbox, so i was wondering if there was anyway to bridge the connection to go from my wic, through my ethernet port, to the xbox. Any idea's? Im horrible with networking so any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is trivial, if you know what you're doing. Problem is, I don't know of any guides for novices.

Ah ha, here's a mini-guide I made to send to the Screen Savers when they had a caller with simular troubles:

"If there is a PC near the X-Box, you can put an Ethernet NIC in one of the
PCI slots. Once both are configured, you can run software to turn that PC
into a router/gateway. Whether or not you'll need extra software depends on
your version of Windows. Here's how to do with Win2K:

Here's a guide for Windows XP, but I can't get it work for me (settings
button is grayed out for some reason):

Maybe it's since I'm using XP Pro and not Home, I can turn on routing and
remote access in the managment console though (which brings up a an extra
icon in networking)."
