For those of you who use a Draft N connection, what kind of router do you have? I'm curious because I'm getting extremely fed up with my Linksys WRT160N v2. My connection is always dropping when I have a large download and it starts picking up speed. It's getting really ridiculous. I think I'm going to try a D-Link DIR-625 or one of TrendNet's routers. I really can't afford a dual-band or Gigabyte router at the moment and I'm not sure they would increase my performance much anyhow.

I've got a D-Link DIR-655, had it for about a year, it gets lots of rave reviews.

I've had the same router as Drakan's. It was a great investment.

I've seen that the DIR-655s sell for around $99 or less. If that's still too much for you save up because it's worth the price.

not sure if you still have/need that router but we have the same version router as you... constant d/c issue. called tech support went through the usual babble(unplugh/reset) and magically it works. i was about to give up.. until i found this page.. and now she works just fine have yet to be d/ced in 3 days. g/l and well guess just my lil tidbit of info...

Have you tried flashing the firmware with the latest version?

there is no latest version for the router.. the latest one is the one mine came with..and its buggy as hell.. i had to downgrade it/adjust the DNS to get it to work.. and it works great now.
