Wireless Mouse --- too much hassle?

I'm in the market for a wireless mouse. I noticed that there is a huge discrepancy in the prices among different models. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the headline features --- refresh rate, working distance, extra buttons, etc.

None of those matter to me. All I care about is battery life. I'd like to minimize the hassle as much as possible. Taking that into consideration, would there be a significant advantage with the more expensive mouse, compared to the cheaper ones?

Are there specific features that I should be looking at? Any advice is appreciated.

Do you have a wireless network in the house? Logitech has some solid models, but a lot of them get interference if you have a router right next to your desk.

really?

I've never had this problem... I had a mx1000 and now i've got a G7.

I had my router above my monitor for a while (linksys draft N), and and right now it's about 2-3 inches from my mouse's receiver. Only problem I've had is that after about a year and a half with my mouse, my battery life is significantly lower.

Personally, as soon as my budget allows I'll be getting either a 518 or a g5. I've never had any problem with interference, but between lag and battery life - I've decided to return to a wired mouse. Frustrating, but I believe it's necessary.
