Wireless mouse lags?

Has anybody having problem with wireless mouse?
I tried 2 wireless mouses one logitech lx710(something like that) and right now I'm using microsoft Desktop 6000 v2. Lag is not too bad but I can still feel the lag in the game.
Has anybody had this problem before? and is replacing mouse only solution?
Really like wireless but hate lag
dont want lag but hate the wire.

Only the high-end wireless mice are usable in gaming. Simply put, regular wireless mice are tuned for a slower response time in order to conserve battery life.

Important distinction: Wireless mice aren't inherently slower than wired.
 
Get yourself a high-end wireless mouse and be sure it's always charged. Logitech MX Revolution, maybe? Pretty steep on the price though.

I'm happy staying tied up with my MX-518, personally.

if your looking for a good wireless mouse get the Razer mamba! if you are looking for a great mouse without spending too much pick up a razer lachesis. The lachesis is a great gaming mouse i have used it for 7 months now and it is VERY reliable. This mouse can take a beating aswell, i have had this gaming mouse longer then i have anyother gaming mouse because the gave out on me. lol :[ . I would recommend it to anyone.
 
Had an MX700, just upgraded to a Logitech G7. I've been using high-end wireless gaming mice for 5 years now. There is no detectable lag if you have a good mouse.
 
if you are truly worried about lag, then stick with a wired mouse. At several lan parties I have heard more excuses from guys with wireless mice why they sucked so bad... "my mouse was f******* up!" or "WTF IS WRONG WITH MY MOUSE!!!". It is possible that it was them and not their mouse that sucked, but I see and hear it all the time.

Thinking about picking up logitech MX revolution. Its wireless but read reviews with no lag. If it dont work out, i'm going back to wired mouse like razer.
 
Also really hate I can only press 3 keys together on this keyboard. I press alot of buttons while playing fps and it wont respond to 4th key so I get f$cked up.
Def going to pick another keyboard too
 
I've had a Logitech G7 for a few years now, I love it. I'll probably never go back to a wired mouse. I've not noticed any lag, the only problem I ever run into is the battery dying on me. It comes with a second battery so you can always have one charged so it's not a huge problem. Back in my WoW days I got pretty good at changing batteries out while still keeping my group alive. Back in my CoD days, I could normally change out the battery before someone could run by and kill me. So all in all even changing the battery isn't that big of a problem.
 
If you are a very low sensitivity player, like having to swipe over a whole everglide titan to turn behind you, you will hate wireless mice with a passion, even that crappy overpriced MS 3.0 clone by razer will not cut it, heck i play on 40cm/360 90% of the time but i can still make a ms 3.0 / logi g1 lose track of my movements on the puretrak talent ( my favourite clothpad btw ) if i want to, it just never happens during real gameplay because i mostly play slow paced fps's and my sensitivity in quake-ish games is set higher anyway.

Even if you don't think you can tell if a wireless mouse is lagging on you, it will always be at the back of your mind. Although, if you are looking for something else to blame your piss poor gaming skills on, it might be ideal!
 
It helped me a lot of my wireless lag for my Microsoft Bluetooth mouse. I took a USB extender cable (1-2ft maybe?) and extended the USB Bluetooth dongle away from the computer and mounted it so that it sticks straight up in the air. I read it on another forum and it significantly reduced my lag.

I just got my MX revolution few days ago for 38 dollar in bestbuy..

this mouse have no lag at all, pretty confident with it...

but the mouse does not feel right for FPS gaming, or that just me...
 
the Keyboard of choice for me is the Merc Stealth! is a great full keyboard with a gamepad attached. it take a bump to get used to, but no i can't play without it!

Hardcore gaming has nothing to do with sensitivity.

I see this video quoted a lot and quite frankly having to reposition the mouse so frequently is just a hindrance. Moving in such large arcs is tiring for me so not comfortable for long term play.

Exactly what he is doing can be achieved at a much more sensitive resolution you just need to have finer motor control in order to remain accurate, I know a lot of very good players who only use a few inches per 360 degree rotation and remain incredibly accurate, and not "quake bouncing around the map" kind of accurate but "CS long range headshot" kind of accurate which requires aiming down to the pixel.

yup 2 inches in either direction is a full 360 for me.. but then again i also have the quick change DPI settings for my lachesis.. so i can go to hyper sensitive 4000 DPI to almost no sensitivity 950 DPI in 4 clicks.. and there is almost no delay between the changes.. i generally play with either the 1800 or 2250 DPI setting.. but they can all be manually changed in the drivers for each setting..
 
Yeah dynamic sensitivity is good, I've used that ever since razer first invented it way back with the original Boomslang, I don't usualy switch mid-battle, but I will tend to alter the sensitivity in a class based game when switching between assault and sniping for example.

The Lachesis is a really good mouse, I dont use the DPI swicher but the on the fly sensitivity is very handy.
 
My MX Revolution lagged until I got a USB extended and placed the receiver 3 inches from my mouse since then no problems until lately it is happening again, thus far only in steam games oddly enough which unfortunately are mostly what I play.

The Razer Mamba and the MS X8 do not. I've tested both, and I'm extremely sensitive to both lag on mice and input lag on all screen types of monitors (TN, MVA/PVA, IPS).

Also, way to contribute with already a few posters before you with "They all lag."

Just want to note also that the Razer Mamba is darn good, my friend just bought one and I'm happy to say all the early issues with it have been pretty much sorted out (including the circle around the laser, all mice now ship with a black sticker, at least from Amazon).

My mx1000 does the same thing, the receiver is sitting practically on the mouse but I still get intermittent lag

Yes, they are. Anything wireless has some lag compared to wired counterparts. That applies to everything wireless. Now, whether you notice it or not is another matter but it is there and is measured in milliseconds.
