Wireless Mighty Mouse!

That would be a great mouse to carry around with my laptop, if only it was windows xp compatible like its wired usb counterpart. Maybe i should just my a mac book.
 
^^ I would imagine it would be PC compatible if you had a bluetooth module for your PC. Though, someone correct me if I'm wrong. I know socket makes a USB Bluetooth adapter.
 
WOW I didn't think it was going to be released that quickly.

If it works like its wired brother I'd be more than interested. That way I can free up a USB port on my iBook. Is $70 worth it???
 
It'll probably work better since now it's laser instead of optical and hopefully Apple fixed the problem with the sticking scroll ball.
 
Darn... and I just bought a wired mighty mouse for my new macbook pro less then two weeks ago... nerf apple
 
The mouse looks a bit odd, but you've gotta love the Bluetooth and the laser sensor. Oh, and the scroll nub!
 
I've yet to try or even see one of these even in the older wired version, how does the left/right clicking work if it's touch sensitive? Do you have to keep your fingers off those zones on the mouse and touching registers a click? Do you get a click response at all from the mouse, by this I mean does the whole front end click down and the mouse just registers whether you were clicking left or right? Can it register both being clicked?

You get a click. You hear it. You can have a baby's bottom on each side and it wont register a click until you press down. Go to the apple store and try it down.
 
i was not a fan of the mighty mouse that came with my iMac. I use a MX900 bluetooth mouse now and love it. It only I could get the back/foward buttons to work in firefox though...

OK, thx. Honestly i really dont like the mighty mouse feel and form factor. I like most of the functionality that it has, but i just really dont like that mouse.
 
I love the Mighty Mouse. Thought it was strange at first but vertical/horizontal scrolling with the ball is simply genius. Don't much care for the squeeze bit as it feels unnatural to me.

For portability I picked up the Logitech V500 (not in production anymore). It is by far the best portable mouse I've ever had. Thought I might not like the solid state scroll feel but it's fine. Because the laser sensor is near the front of the mouse it's super sensitive allowing for precise control,

Nice! Congrats! I hope you experience nothing but good things with it. Remember to add RAM to the MacBook when you can :)
 
I, personally, don't like the might mouse. A friend of mine had the cord one for his powerbook and it felt just weird. The idea with the touch sensitivity of the sides is nice, but that "nipple" in the middle is horrible to use with bigger hands (like mine) and just feels weird in certain i dunno why. But i always say what suits you suits you

Ya, thats part of the reason i dont like it either....maybe its a bigger hands thing, but that nipple just rubs me the wrong way. I want my scroll wheel :)
