wireless lan: DHCP fails to assign IP on IBM Access Connections

Trying to get my work lappy (IBM T43p) to connect to my home wireless network, but I keep failling at the DHCP:

"The DHCP server on this network failed to respond to the request your system made for automatic IP address configuartion."

how can i fix this?

how can i fix this?

Check the encryption key.
Check to be sure that the wireless AP/router/duck is giving out IP addresses at all (on Netgears I think you have to enable that option).
