Hey guys,

I didn't know which forum to throw this in, so I figured I'd just place it here. I'm looking at picking up some cheap (sub $200) ip cam's and place around the house. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just mainly looking for:

1. Reliable (doesn't drop connection)
2. Image quality
3. Be able to remotely save/stream to a NAS/WHS/storage device

Does anyone have any experience with the Linksys WVC80N's or the Trendnet TV-IP line? The Linksys is the cheaper solution, just don't know the quality of the cam. I welcome any recommendations.

Currently audio only works through the ActiveX interface, but overall I'm pretty happy with it for how cheap it was (ended up being just over $100 each for the pair). The antenna connector on it is standard SMA, as opposed to the reverse-SMA used on every other WiFi device ever made.

My house is on the corner, so my front door isn't actually used much. The setup around the side door is a bit dumb, so I was looking at getting some sort of video monitor to watch the door. I started having packages stolen out of my mail, so I got this camera and pointed it at my mailbox. They caught the person doing it, but I've still got it pointed out my window because it's interesting to watch people on the sidewalk. =)

The friend bought his to use as a baby monitor. He figured it was a better deal than the actual video baby monitors, since it had IR and audio, and could be viewed from his iPhone or his wife's Android. He's a little upset that audio is only supported in ActiveX, but other than that he seems to like it ok.

It's taken from up in the window of a second-floor bedroom. The colors outside get a little funky. The weird shape in the corner is the silver tripod I've got it mounted on (with a ghost image from the double-paned window). It's better indoors at closer ranges.
 
Nice, thank for the info and links. Just what I was looking for really. The pan/tilt is just an added bonus for $99 a piece.
