I'm looking for a wireless mic solution for gaming. Would something like this work for teamspeak or ventrillo? It doesn't have to play sound.

yeah that would work but then you would need a receive for it. i have one for the xbox 360 but i don't use it if you want to buy a receiver let me know cause i think it works for that kind of stuff.

What kind of receiver, USB? Would any receiver work? I have one that came with my wireless Xbox 360 controller and my Logitech Wireless keyboard/mouse.

yeah its that one the white one. i have the cd also i am not sure but that headset looks like the one i use for my xbox 360 LOL.

the logitech wireless keyboard and mouse just picks up the only components that are only logitech and nothing else i believe.

check xbox site and see their receiver thats the one i have. the receiver that i'm talking about hooks up to your computer that it uses the xbox 360 controller and the wireless headset i think. i haven't tried it out but i think thats what you use in order to get that wireless headset working.

why not just buy like plantronics or something save you the hassle unless your really into wireless stuff and you want to give it a shot for gaming. i love that headset so comfortable and easy to use

I hate the clutter of wires. I always end up knocking them around and getting them tangled.

That headset does look exactly like the one for the Xbox except it says Microsoft instead of 360. I saw this headset on club.live.com which sparked my interest and I am thinking about picking it up for free.

well its not really a long wire pretty short nifty in fact but whatever works in your case go with it. i think he's planning to use it as a mic as more than gaming itself. good luck and let me know if you need that receiver cause its just sitting here

Correct, I have no need for headphones. I have one of those stick mics but it ended up getting fragged during a bad night of BF2. I just ordered the microsoft headset from club.live so I'll let you know how that works.

EDIT: Oh, another reason for wireless is my case is pretty far away from where I sit so it takes long wires to route.
